O Hamburger de Carne e Espírito é uma coletânea de poemas que pulsa com a urgência das questões humanas contemporâneas. Através de uma linguagem rica em metáforas e simbolismos, o autor aborda temas como a política, as desigualdades sociais, a opressão, as memórias pessoais e coletivas, o amor e a identidade. Cada poema funciona como uma janela para a luta da voz poética, que se ergue contra as injustiças do mundo, refletindo sobre a dor da existência e o peso do passado. Além de uma crítica contundente à política contemporânea e ao vazio das promessas não cumpridas, a coletânea é uma ode à resistência e à esperança. 

Mário Loff nasceu no Tarrafal, aquele pedaço perdido de Santiago, onde a terra é preguiçosa e a língua da azagua só se escuta nos silvos das enxadas. Formado em História e Património, seu talento foi reconhecido com o Prémio Txon Poesia, e seus textos, foram publicados em antologias, revistas e concursos internacionais, do Brasil ao resto do mundo. Em 2017, Loff foi convidado a integrar o Colóquio Internacional “A Glimmer of Freedom”, onde trouxe à tona os silêncios e as resistências do Tarrafal. Em 2018, foi o festival de Cinema da ESAP que o chamou para transformar em poesia as memórias do campo de concentração de Tarrafal. É autor de O Rapto da Primeira Dama e, coautor de Poetas para o Ano Novo II. É também um dos fundadores da ALTAS, uma associação literária.

O Hamburger de Carne e Espírito is a poetry collection that pulses with the urgency of contemporary human concerns. Through a language rich in metaphors and symbolism, the author addresses themes such as politics, social inequalities, oppression, personal and collective memories, love, and identity. Each poem functions as a window onto the struggle of the poetic voice, which revolts against the injustices of the world, reflecting on the pain of existence and the weight of the past. Beyond a forceful critique of contemporary politics and the emptiness of unfulfilled promises, the collection is an ode to resistance and hope. 

Mário Loff was born in Tarrafal, that forgotten patch of Santiago, where the land is indolent and the language of the azagua is heard only in the whistles of the hoes. Trained in History and Heritage, his talent was recognized with the Txon Poetry Prize, and his texts have been published in anthologies, magazines, and international competitions, from Brazil to the rest of the world. In 2017, Loff was invited to take part in the International Colloquium “A Glimmer of Freedom,” where he brought to light the silences and acts of resistance of Tarrafal. In 2018, the ESAP Film Festival invited him to transform into poetry the memories of the Tarrafal concentration camp. He is the author of O Rapto da Primeira Dama and co-author of Poetas para o Ano Novo II. He is also one of the founders of ALTAS, a literary association.
